Oh how I love a piece of upholstered furniture with a nice shape.  Like wearing a fitted dress, it is always good to have some curves.   Want to add interest to your room and but don’t want to do it with bright coloured or patterned fabric?  Keep a neutral colour palatte but add a chair or sofa with interesting lines, and you will have an instant conversation piece.  Here are some great ones I’ve found.

This fabulous auction find, a William IV Style Wingback Chair via Ford’s Finds, is pure elegance with a twist.

This modern melon-tone sofa from Republic of Fritz Hanzen designed by Spanish artist-design extraordinaire, Jaime Hayón, has such nice curves.  Via

The Greek Dining Chair from the Thomas Pheasant seating collection at Baker Furniture is simple, yet its shape commands attention.

The KID4EVA Georgian Wing Chair “Yellow Pages” by Burke and Hazelden is a real statement piece, and so much fun.

A curvacious and sophisticated white wingback Victoria Hagan, found Via

How unique is this piece?  This Circle Chair by the Pacific Green Company is so interesting.  What is even more interesting is the company’s story.        Check it out on their website.

I love the long, lean look of this ‘The King of All Dining Chairs” by Casa Padoga.

Pair of French Art Deco Leaf Form Upholstered Chairs, Circa 1930’s, from the Showplace Antique and Design Center.  So cool.

What about this crazy Pink Diva Porters Chair King Throne from Hollywood Regency? A bold statement for any room.

I could just curl up for a nap in The Foilage Sofa designed by Patricia Urquiola for the Italian manufacturer Kartell.
